Wardrobe Wednesday-- Dress to Express (Yourself)

It has been a while since I last posted for "Wardrobe Wednesday."   Picture taking for the post has been extra difficult during the winter months because of the lack of sunlight available when my picture-taking-husband is home from work.  Now that it is February, the days are starting to get a little longer and the sun is staying bright a little later!  Spring will be here before we know it!

Anyway I finally got a few pics snapped before I headed out to work.  Lucky for me work is at the adorable vintage-inspired/ pin-up style/ rockabilly boutique, Retro Vixen,  so I get to dress up and have fun with my clothing!

This dress is by Hell Bunny,  I love it's full skirt, gingham print, fifties' shape, and most of all heart shaped pockets!

I added a little bolero sweater, pinned on a broach that I made myself, and some red tights for warmth.  This summer this little dress will be great with a simple pair of sandals and some cute red sunglasses.    I found a red vintage nylon scarf in my hair.  at a local thrift shop, and its the perfect accessory for this outfit.

Probably, the most important accessory for this dress is attitude and confidence.  I get that I dress a little on the eccentric side,  when I wore this out to dinner at a place in my smallish suburb of Kansas City town, I got a lot of weird looks and gawking folks trying to figure out why I was dressed this way.  They are just not used to seeing much besides North Face Jackets, bling butt Jeans, and Uggs.. ha!  Seriously though, I dress for myself.  I dress in things that I love and make me feel happy.,.. and you should too... who cares about everyone else!  Clothes should be a way to express yourself!
