Be-bopping, Grocery-shopping.

I went grocery shopping yesterday afternoon.  My kids were both at a friend's house, so it was a good opportunity for me to food shop alone.   My grocery store plays some good "ambient" music.  I always sing along.  I have certain rules in life, like whenever I hear "How do I get You Alone," by Heart and certain other songs.... I must sing along.

Yesterday, the store was playing, "The Tide is High" by Blondie, one of my favorite songs ever.  This particular song happened to be at the top of the Billboard charts on the day I was born... my birth song!  Of course I sing, and "dance" with my shopping cart down the canned food isle.  Usually, I get away with this without being spotted, but this time I got caught by the store manager.

I am sure I looked like a spectacle, I was wearing full *almost drag* make up, a big leopard print bow in my hair, red lipstick and high heels... mid day at a grocery store, singing and dancing to Blondie.  He giggled, and said, "Are you Be-Bopping, in my store?"

I answered, "Yes Sir, I am!"

This is my life. I am a dork and proud of it.

  1. Better than my encounter with a creeper at the grocery store yesterday. I think I'm going to write a letter...
